There is a ton of information available on reducing your home energy bills. "Renewable Energy", "Green", "Photovoltaic", are some of the new buzz words that have emerged. While you will find some information that is accurate there is even more that is slanted to support the writer's point of view or product. Before you pay thousands of dollars on a specific improvement, spend a few hundred for an energy audit. Learn what's accurate and what is fluff.

Many improvements are simple, inexpensive and can be done by the home owner and they will have much better pay backs than the higher ticket projects. Let HI show you what improvements will give you the most benefit for the least cost. Make sure you get the most benefit for your money.

Every home can be improved. A full energy audit will reveal the problem areas and provide practical solutions that will save you money. A HI energy audit can save you 20% - 30% and higher on your heating cost, reduce your electric bill and improve the comfort of your home. You can't afford not to have a HI energy audit.

HOME OWNERS: Energy improvements will reduce your monthly cost for the remaining years you live in the home. Financing is a good way to fund these improvements. HI will help you choose improvements that assure your monthly savings will be more than your monthly loan payments, thus freeing up your cash.

HOME BUYERS: If you are in the market for a new home, have an energy audit done before buying. Find out where the problems are and then roll the improvement costs into your mortgage. A Home Inspection is not an energy audit. Many home inspectors are not trained nor have the state of the Art Equipment to properly assess your new home. An energy audit will pay for itself by saving you money for years to come.

HOME SELLERS: In this challenging real estate market you need to set your house above the others. Remember, one the top three questions asked by all home buyers is "How much does it cost to heat this home?" making it an important factor in buying a house. Just ask your broker for confirmation. An energy audit and improvements will place your house above the completion.
